Shirley Kalachnik

Shirley Kalachnik (Sills), age 73 of Brampton Ontario, passed away on May 21st, 2017, surrounded by loved ones after a brave battle with cancer.

She was born on June 6, 1943 in Toronto, Ontario to the late Beatrice and Maurice Sills.

Predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Donald William Kalachnik.

Loving mother to Cyndi (Mike) Amaral and Kathie (Mike) Bennett and dedicated “Gram” to Kelsey, Lucas, Emily, Evan and Jaymie.

Family and friends will forever remember Shirley for her deep love and commitment to her family, her dogs and passion for travelling, playing poker, cruising and cooking. To know Shirley was to love her. She had a zest for life, enjoyed meeting new people on her travels and cared deeply for everyone around her.

She will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.

Private family visitation and cremation was held on Wednesday May 24, 2017.
