Shirley Bell

Bell, Shirley (nee Cooke) – suddenly on Sunday, April 3rd, 2016 at St. Hilda’s Towers in her 86th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Robert. Loving mother of Phyllis (Rick) Butt, Heather (Ibrahim) Momen, Robert (Liz Kirby), Bill (Bonnie Docherty), John (Tracey), Brenda (Peter) DeGraaf, Michael (Marcela Davila) and Kevin (Audrey). Cherished grandmother of 16, great-grandmother of 8 and great great-grandmother of 1. Dear sister of Elaine Wooldridge and sister in law of Brendan, Mary Delite, Arlene Francis, and Margaret Starr. Predeceased by her parents William and Pearl Cooke and brothers in law Clarence Wooldridge, James Bell and sister in law Eleanor Duffy. Shirley will be greatly missed by her cousin Arthur Brown, her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at St. Hilda’s. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1 Richardson Ave., Toronto on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
