BURNSIDE, Sheila Grace (née Mackenzie)
With sadness but wonderful memories, we announce the peaceful passing of Sheila Burnside, beloved wife of 60 years of Bert (James Albert) Burnside. Fondly remembered by daughters Yvonne and Jeanette, son-in-law Dr. Ronald Mittler, three grandchildren, Jessica, Natalie and Nicholas, brother Peter and wife Peggy, sister-in-law Yvonne Calver.

Sheila displayed a vibrant personality and embraced the arts. Educated at Trafalgar Castle School, Ontario Ladies' College (Whitby), she served as a nurse's aid at Christie Street Veterans' Hospital in Toronto. A graduate of the Faculty of Music at University of Toronto (1948) she earned both an Associate diploma (ATCM) and a Licentiate (LTCA) for music performance proficiency. Sheila was a life member and dedicated volunteer at the Art Gallery of Ontario and Royal Ontario Museum. She instilled the love of art, music and dance in her family. We will miss you dearly.

A private family funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church in Ancaster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga.
