Sheila Mahon

Mahon, Sheila Patricia -

It is with broken hearts and great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of our family matriarch on March 15, 2014. Mom faced death the way that she lived life; with strength, determination, dignity and love.

Predeceased by her cherished husband Bryan (2009). Loving and proud mother of Barbara Nickel (Richard, predeceased 2010), Laura Meikle (Doug) and Tricia Bernardi (Rick). Much loved and adored “grandma” of Jenn, Laura (Stephen), Sarah (Josh), Emily, Kate, Amanda and Michael and “GG” to Liam, Mia and Payton (and many more “fake” ones). Sheila will also be missed by her brother Eammon (Leo) - the “last man standing” of the Clancy Clan, her many nieces and nephews - both sides of the pond and her many friends including the “bridge ladies” whose friendship spanned 40+ years.

Mom - a long time member of Weston Golf and Country, will be remembered for her love of family, warm smile and genuine interest in ALL people. She was an inspiration to all!

The family would like to thank all those who were involved in her caring and compassionate care at Humber Hospital especially Dr. Manoucha and Dr. Freidrick.

Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Etobicoke on Thursday March 20, 2014 at 2:00 PM with a reception to follow.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of mom may be made to the Toronto Children’s Breakfast Club (www.breakfastclubs.ca).

Well done mom….we are proud of your courage and the legacy that you have left behind!
