FAULKNER, SHEILA (POWER)
March 5th, 1942 - June 20th, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Faulkner on June 20, 2022. A loving wife, Mom, Nanny, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, she will be missed by all who knew and were close to her.
Predeceased by her parents, James and Isabel Power. Sheila is survived by her husband Gary, son Chris (Mandy) and grandson Evan, brothers Frank (Shirley) and Bob (Sheila). Sister-in-law to Eleanor, Thelma (predeceased) and Rena (predeceased). Special aunt to Colin, Paul, LynnAnn, Michelle, Heather, Bob, Jim, Tom and Jason. Special great aunt and cousin to many.
Sheila grew up on Bell Island, Newfoundland where her family operated the only grocery store. In 1965, Sheila moved to Toronto and continued her career working for the Bank of Nova Scotia and CIBC for over 25 years where she maintained many friendships.
Sheila met Gary in late 1965 and they, along with Chris, enjoyed life in the Alderwood area of Etobicoke and still have many close friends from the neighbourhood. Gary and Sheila enjoyed spending time with family and friends and spent many vacations in Newfoundland and Florida.
Sheila’s greatest joy was her grandson Evan and her and Gary attended every hockey game, family get together and spent many evenings babysitting.
We are thankful for the loving care and support Sheila received over the past few years as her health declined.
