On February 15th, our dear mother, Shayrone B. Ariel (born Marie Cécile Claudette Lépine) passed away peacefully at Deerwood Creek Care Community, Etobicoke ON. She was 86 years old.
She is survived by her son Denis (Dolly), her daughter Louise DiMuccio and her grandchildren Sophia, Savannah and Michael. She also leaves behind her siblings Lorraine (Jean), Orietta (Gaspare), Diane (Claude), Lilli (Murray), Marie-Therese (Pierre), Charlotte (Jean- Marc) and Guy (Suzanne).
Born September 12, 1935, in the city of Bagotville, Quebec, daughter of René Lépine et Irène Tremblay. Growing up in the Saguenay region, she enjoyed swimming in La Baie des Ha! Ha! with her siblings and cousins, loved to dance, paint, and discovered a passion for cooking/baking in her teenage years. Her siblings all admire how brilliant she was, in fact, in high school she graduated with honors at the top of her class. Her natural beauty and great sense of fashion never went unnoticed as she walked graciously into any room.
She studied at” L’École Des Infirmières” in Chicoutimi, Quebec and chose a life of service by becoming a nurse. She was married for 7 years. She lived 20 plus years in Vancouver, BC before moving to Ontario to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
She will always be remembered for her sweet smile, her innocent laughter and love of seafood! She loved going out to Italian restaurants for pasta pescatore and at Mandarin for Chinese food. However, one of her favorite meals was when my brother Denis would visit her at the nursing home bearing pizza and donuts…. her eyes would light up with a big smile every time she saw him.
A kind soul that now has found a restful peace. She will always live on in our hearts.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday March 5th at 1pm at Ward Funeral Chapel in Woodbridge, ON.
