It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Lee Foreman announces her sudden passing, on April
20, 2022, at the age of 62 in Toronto, ON. She joins her beloved Grandfather Gamp, Gordon Wright (pre-
deceased), and leaves behind her cherished 102 year old Grandmother Nan, Wynne Wright. Her
youngest son Michael Assinck and middle daughter Dianne Assinck/Lucas, were the world to her and she
was a proud mother to them both. They will cherish every memory. She is the wonderful daughter to
Sandra and Robert Foreman and will be fondly remembered by her two sisters and their families
Michele/Mark (Caitlyn) and Christine/Steve (Karley and D’Arcy/Jessica). Her adored black cat Marvin
Boo, will forever miss his snuggles and brushy time. For that he sends up a Meow and a tap on the face
as retribution! Sharon also leaves behind her eldest daughter Alicia Assinck, her grandchildren along
with many lifelong friends she gained throughout her life.
Sharon will be sorely missed by many, but remembered for her love for life, family, and her appreciation
for animals. Sharon loved spending time with her cat Marvin, who gave her many hours of
entertainment with his antics and affection. Her children meant everything to her and she lived for them
each and every day. As a single parent, she always made sure she was a close part of their lives. She was
not a parent who sat on the sidelines; she was that parent who was right in the middle of it all. She
immersed herself in her children’s activities and helped out where she could as an Assistant Baseball
Coach, Bowling Scorekeeper, Scout Leader or cheering parent from the pool bench. She loved her career
as an Educational Assistant with the Toronto District School Board, where she worked for over 30 years
with children who have special needs. She formed lasting relationships with many people throughout
those experiences with her children and work, many which got her through the tougher moments of her
life. She always cherished those times and was truly grateful.
Sharon was an outspoken, stubborn, tell it as it is kind of person. She was also a compassionate, kind
and loving person who always put others above herself. She had a special connection with everyone
around her, including many of the people on her healthcare team who stayed by her side and advocated
for her along the way. In spite of her ongoing battles with her health, Sharon always remained positive;
looking forward to a better day. Sharon was a resilient, strong and determined woman who truly was a
fighter. She came back from the brink of death and overcame so many obstacles to lead a life where she
found meaning and joy spending time with her family, connecting with others and going on adventures.
She loved the outdoors, having BBQ’s and picnics. She looked forward to cherry blossom season each
spring and camping adventures in various provincial parks. Fall, was always the best time of the year and
although every holiday had to be celebrated and made special in some way, she looked forward to
Halloween the most.
Sharon believed that family and friends came first and that your life is best lived doing things and
experiencing time together. That is how we all should commemorate her. A Celebration of life will be
held in approximately one months’ time. Family and friends are welcome. Details will be shared with
those interested in attending. Please RSVP to roverbear@hotmail.com if you are interested in receiving
the information.
