Sharon Davis

It is with great sadness that we announce that peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at the age of 68, Sharon passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer.
Sharon will be sorely missed by her loving husband Garry of 47 years and her sons Glendon and Adam and her daughters-in-law Mica and Maggie. Sharon was so proud of her young granddaughters Ava Melody, Emma Lauren, and Carly Marie and they will miss their grandma dearly.
Sharon is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Arnold and Hilary Cohen of Jerusalem.
Sharon was born in Montreal to parents Anne and Harry Cohen. Sharon attended Baron Byng High School and married Garry Davis in 1970. Garry and Sharon moved to Oakville Ontario in 1994 where Sharon enjoyed many wonderful friends and was a volunteer at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) for almost 20 years. Sharon also spent 12 wonderful winter seasons in Naples, Florida where she met so many lovely people who became very close and dear friends.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Carol Cooper who was Sharon’s family doctor and helped Sharon throughout her entire illness. As well special gratitude goes to Liz McLean Sharon’s caregiver. Special thanks to the nurses and staff of the Cancer Centre and Medical Day Care at OTMH and Dr.’s John McPhaden and Arya Naveen, of OTMH and Dr. Helen Pyle of Oakville.
Sharon’s wish was to be cremated, and a private family ceremony has taken place.
Shiva Call and Reception for friends and family will take place from 1PM to 4 PM on November 22 and 23 at the Davis residence at 2153 Hurley Drive Oakville.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be planned for Naples Florida, and Oakville Ontario, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital Foundation.
