It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Sandra Troiani at the age of 87 on Sunday, May 15, 2016. Dearly beloved wife of 64 years to Pompeo Troiani, mother of Anne Marie and Frank, daughter in law Nancy, proud grandmother of Cristina (Michael), Richard (Jennifer, with newly arriving great grand baby), Daniel (Angelina) and Justin. Extremely proud great grandmother to Jacob and Ava. Beloved sister to Maria, Carmine, Pasquale and Antonio. Dear friend of Adua Innocente.
She immigrated to Canada from Pescina, Italy in 1952 with her husband Pompeo. Soon after their arrival, they started a retail grocery business of which she was a valuable contributor to their success.
Sandra was a one of a kind person, a cherished friend, adored by everyone she met. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Donato Spensieri and his staff for their continued care.
Friends and family will be gathering to celebrate Sandra's life on Wednesday, May 18th from 2-4 and 6-9 at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, Woodbridge. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 9:30am at St. Peter's Church (100 Bainbridge Ave.). In lieu of flowers a donation in Sandra's memory may be made to Sunnybrook Foundation, Odette Cancer Centre.
