On Thursday, January 24, 2019, nearing her 85th birthday, Ruth Geraldine McCallum went to be with the Lord. Ruth was born to William and Margaret Khoeler, on March 7th, 1934. Beloved wife to the late Kenneth Alexander McCallum. Loving mother of Bradley James and his wife Laura. Cherished grandmother to Leah Carroccia & husband Giovanni, Linda, William & his wife Marisa Loizzo and Joshua & Ksenia. Great grandmother to Andrea and Matteo Carroccia.
Ruth had a fond appreciation of music and playing her organ. While living in Turner Valley, AB she opened her own flower shop and after moving back to Ontario she worked for Bee Bonnet flower shop on Queen Street. After the passing of her husband, Ruth lived independently. In the later years of her life, she received assistance through Peel Senior Link. The family would like to thank the devoted PSW caregivers who dedicated their time to help Ruth, especially over the last year.
Friends and family will be received at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. A note to guests: Due to recent construction on Highway 7 near the Ward Funeral Home we ask family and friends to allocate additional traveling time to the funeral home.
