With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Ruth Crisp on November 17th, 2022, a few weeks before her 88th birthday.
Married for 58 years to our father, Ronald Crisp, we take comfort in knowing that Mom and Dad are together once again. Ruth left behind her daughter Cheryl (Ben), sons Gregory and Darren, grandchildren Jennifer (Troy), Daniel (Nikki), Courtney (Matthew), and Amanda (Andrew), along with her great grandchildren Gavin, Colton, and a third on the way.
Ruth was a devoted wife and mother, raising her family in Etobicoke and supporting her husband's real estate business. She enjoyed sunny cottage days with friends and family on Skeleton Lake and winter escapes to Fort Lauderdale as snowbirds with her beloved Ron. Her favorite pastime was time spent in her beautiful and well-kept gardens. Ruth loved to travel, watch her sons play hockey, and she became an avid professional sports fan; but her real passion was her family. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was always their biggest supporter. "I've been thinking about you" was her signature greeting, and you could always feel how genuinely she meant it.
Ruth had a heart of gold and she will be deeply missed by all those who loved her. She may be gone, but she has left a mark on our hearts and will never be forgotten. In her own words, she has asked us to “be strong”.
Our mom will be cremated in the coming days and a private service will be held.
