After a brief illness on January 6 2019, Ruby passed away at the Etobicoke General Hospital in her 88th year. Predeceased by her beloved husband John (1998). Loving mother to Russ (Mardi) and Ron (Rosemary). Dear grandmother of Michele, Jordan, Helena, Cameron, Rachel, Rebecca and great grandchildren Holly, Elise, Cole, Amara, Eli and Rose. Cherished sister of Jean, Vi, the late Florence, Ken, Millie and Margaret. Ruby will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who she lovingly welcomed into her home over the years. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation, CNIB or the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
