Parsons, Ruby Irene nee: Compton
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ruby on April 4, 2016 at Humber River Hospital with family by her side. Predeceased by her husband John. Loving mother of Karen and Kerry (Ali) and grandmother of Colton, Jennifer, Garrett and step-grandmother of Lindsay and Casey. She will be missed by her sister Rose and sister-in-law Minnie. Predeceased by her sisters, Winnifred and Sylvia and brother Douglas. She will be remembered by her large extended family and friends. Ruby was born in Botwood, Newfoundland, met her husband John while living in St. John’s Newfoundland and settled in Toronto, Ontario to raise their family. Ruby enjoyed two accomplished careers, one as the neighborhood “Avon Lady” and as a photographer, working along side her husband John in realizing his passion.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Thursday from 7-9p.m .
A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 11a.m .
Interment to follow at Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
