It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Rose. She passed away peacefully, at the Ian Anderson House on Sunday October 30, 2022 in her 88th year. Will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Andrew, Alexis, Nicole, Benjamin, Daniel, James, Mary and Erin. Survived by sister Pamela (Ray). Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Michael, Caroline, David, Simon, Charmaine, John, Allison, and Erica.
Rose immigrated to Canada in 1969, with dad and five kids. Juggling many balls as a new immigrant, mum ran a household, worked lastly as an assistant to the managing partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers, and was the spiritual heart and soul of the home.
A fiercely independent woman she gave generously to many Catholic charities and used the power of prayer to guide her life. She was gentle soul who gave her time helping others in need, especially newly immigrating families. Her kids and grandkids were her universe and never a birthday or special occasion went by without us receiving a card with a personal message of support.
A very versatile woman, who in her youth played field hockey, badminton, roller skated and loved to ride her bike. She also loved to shop, play board games, travel, cook, sew and was an avid reader.
Funeral Mass will be held from St. Mary’s Church 66A Main Street South, Brampton on Friday November 4, 2022, at 10:30am with a Celebration of Life gathering after mass.
