Rose Anne Borg (nee Indovina)
(August 11, 1950 – December 29, 2014)
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Rose Anne Borg (nee Indovina) after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Over her career as a teacher, she nurtured thousands of students who carry on her enthusiasm for learning, music and life. Rose Anne was an inspiration to many — she was the keynote speaker at Brampton's 2006 CIBC Run for the Cure, and recipient of the Inspirational Award from the Mayor of Brampton in 2007. She will be deeply missed by her large, loving family and the people she touched, most notably her husband of 42 years, Charlie, her sons Laurence and Steve, daughters-in-law Caitlin and Michelle, granddaughter Ava and her three sisters, Angela, Cecilia, Roberta, and brother Anthony. Special thanks to Dr. M. Crewson whose exceptional care over 25 years allowed Rose Anne to see many family milestones, the staff of Brampton Civic's Oncology Unit, her devoted friends from school, church and the gym and all the amazing staff and volunteers at Bethell House Hospice in Inglewood, ON whose compassion and tenderness eased Rose Anne’s transition from this life to the next. The family is forever indebted to Bethell house staff for their tender love, care and comfort. The family encourages a donation in lieu of flowers (online http://bethellhospice.org/ or 905-838-3534). Visitation will be held at Ward's Funeral Home in Brampton (52 Main Street South) on Thursday January 1, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Leonard's Roman Catholic Church (187 Conestoga Drive, Brampton) on Friday January 2nd 2015 followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga).
