Peacefully, surrounded by his family in his 87th year after a lengthy illness, Rosario was called back home to God, on Sunday, September 21st, 2014 at the Humber River Regional Hospital- Finch Site. Predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Ermelinda Carmela and brothers and sisters, Antonio, Domenic, Battista, Giovanna and Suor Maria Crocifisa. Loving father of Enrica (Pasquale Chieffallo), Francesco (Colomba) and John (Maria). Predeceased by daughter-in-law Patricia Joan Air and grandson Rosario Francesco. Adoring grandfather of Alfio (Linda), Jessica, Danny (Daniela), Michael, Carmela (Steve), Vittoria, Mark and Pamela. Loving great grandfather to Matteo, Ava, Alessandro and Abbey Rose. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to sisters-in-law, Maria, Elizabeth, Mafalda, Rosina and the thoughts and prayers of brother-in-law Giacomo. Survived by sister Rosina. He has touched many lives and will be missed by many friends. Special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at Humber River Regional Hospital- Finch site. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Cusimano at Sunnybrook, who enabled Rosario to cherish his family and friends for an additional 10 years.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, on Tuesday and Wednesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 150 St. Francis Ave., Woodbridge on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 at 9:30a.m. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
