Rosaria Chieffallo

Rosaria Chieffallo (nee Adamo)It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our dear mother, Rosaria Chieffallo in her 99th year on September 22, 2024. Rosaria was born on September 9, 1925 in San Mango d’Aquino, Cantazaro, Calabria, Italy to Silvio and Serafina Adamo. She is survived by her sister Luigina. She has now been reunited with the love of her life, Alfio, with whom she spent 40 wonderful years and sisters Carolina and Matilda. Rosaria and Alfio purchased their home together in North York in 1968 and it has remained their family home ever since.

She will be greatly missed by her beloved children Pasqualino “Pat” (Enrica), and Frank. Rosaria was a devoted nonna to Alfio (Linda), Jessica (Matteo), Daniel (Daniela), Rosie (Robert), Sonia (John), and Sabrina (Giancarlo). Loving bisnonna to Ava, Isla, Sienna, Daniel, Matteo, Alessandro, Mykala, Alyssa, Maya, Matthew, Lucas, Selena, Zara and Scarlett. She will be greatly missed by her many extended family member and friends.

Rosaria was very devoted to her faith and was an avid parishioner at St. Wilfrid’s Parish. She participated in many community events, and fostering many close friendships through her parish as well. She enjoyed spending her time socializing and hosting her friends and family, playing cards and drinking espresso. Rosaria also enjoyed going on many pilgrimages with her church and close family members, as well as travelling to Italy and spending time with family there.

Rosaria will be remembered for her constant smile, and her ability to get along with everyone. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything, and always asked questions about them.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday, September 29th, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at St. Wilfrid’s Parish (1675 Finch Avenue West, North York). Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
