Rosa Pace

It is with sadness that our family announces the passing of our dear mother Rosa Pace (nee
Pipitone). On Friday June 16, 2023 she passed peacefully at the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital,
Palliative Unit.
She has joined her beloved husband, Vito who predeceased her in 2012.
Loving and devoted mother of Tony (Ada Pace) and Joe (Sonia Pace). Proud and doting Nonna to
grandsons Matthew, and Michael and granddaughter, Jenna.
She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews, extended family in New York and Italy and her friends nearby.
She was born in Vita, Sicily in 1929 and married her sweetheart Vito in December of 1947.
Then in 1951, they arrived in Canada to continue their married life, full of hopes and dreams.
Rosa always worked hard striving to make a better life for her family working as a seamstress in
the downtown fashion district for over 30 plus years. She was a very strong and resilient woman
with a deep sense of family, and faith until the end. She was an amazing cook showing her love
through food. She effortlessly prepared plentiful delicious meals for anyone at any time.
Her greatest pleasure was watching her dinner guests eat! She was also extremely generous, kind
and loved to joke around with her grandchildren. Her ability to recall and play cards was
amazing.
She touched many, and unconditionally loved her sons, Tony and Joe and her grandchildren. She
leaves that legacy of love in their hearts to live on forever. She will be dearly missed by her
family and all her knew her.
