It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Crisanti. God called Rosa peacefully on April 28th, 2023, at the age of 99, with her loving family by her side and in their hearts. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Salvatore and daughter Agatha (Tina).
Mamma Rosa was a pillar of strength, love, and kindness. Born in Termini Imerese (Palermo) Italy, she immigrated to Toronto Canada in 1950 with her toddler daughter Tina, to join her husband and continue to build their devoted lives and family together.
She loved and cherished her children, Tina (late husband Nick), Vincent (Flora), Anthony (Sandra), and was a proud Nonna to Vincent (Leila), Carlo (Emily), Marco (Anna Maria), Stephen (Cindy), Lisa (Mike), Salvatore and Sofia. Rosa was blessed with 11 great grandchildren: Jenna (Maicol), Simone, Nicole, Nicholas, Gabriel, Anthony, Matthew, Keira, Julianna, Joshua, and Jacob. Rosa will be lovingly remembered by her brother Giuseppe Mangione (Antonietta) and dear in the hearts of many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends, and especially her loving caregiver Jane (“Gina”).
She touched the hearts of everyone she met, and her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on through all of her family.
Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday May 3rd, 2023 from 2pm-4pm and from 6pm- 9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge on Thursday May 4th, 2023 at 10 am. Entombment to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
We invite all friends and family to join us to honour her memory and say final goodbyes. If desired, donations in Rosa’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or St. Gregory's Orphanage would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please note one hundred percent of the donation to St. Gregory's Orphanage will go directly to the charity.
