In loving memory of Ronald King. August 5th, 1936 – September 20th, 2013.
Ron was a humble, generous man with a gentle soul, wisdom beyond his years and a heart that was pure gold. Everyone who knew Ron would agree that the most important thing in his life was his family. The next thing they would agree on is that friends were also considered family.
Ron’s love of children extended far beyond his immediate family. Kids were attracted to his childlike spirit. He is most likely surrounded by a group of children in heaven, all gathered around him as he explains the rules of a new game that is about to begin.
If you see photographs of Ron and he looks like ‘The Thinker’ he is likely inventing a new game, or finding a way to improve an existing game by switching up the rules. Or, he could be thinking about the latest construction project that he is about to delve into.
Although we are devastated over the loss of this wonderful man, at the same time we are so very grateful that the Lord took him so quickly and he did not suffer.
Ron was a master story teller. We will miss sitting around the table and listening to the antics of a well spun story. His hearty laugh followed by ‘ya’ will be heard in our hearts forever. We ask and encourage you to share a story or two, even a simple memory that you have when you think about Ron. These are the gems that will help us all heal in the years to come.
