Romuald Matutat

Romuald is survived by his wife Irene, son, Bernard (Heather), 2 grandchildren Joshua and Kate, son, Daniel (deceased) and daughter-in-law Sandra.

In addition to his immediate family, Romuald is survived by his sister Irma, who he shared many fond memories and experiences with over the years, and nieces and nephews, Sonia, Rosalie and Raymond.

Romuald was preceded in death by his sister Hilda, whom he held dear in his heart.

Romuald, fondly known as ‘Ronnie’ was born to Julius and Emile Matutat in Lithuania on April 7, 1935. The family moved to Germany in 1944 where Ronnie apprenticed as a tailor for 3 years. In 1953 the family moved to Canada. He worked in Toronto as a tailor for over 35 years.

Ronnie loved spending time with his family and friends at the family cottage in Grandview Beach near Port McNichol. Fishing, boating, and hunting were among some of his favourite pastimes.
