Rohan Anthony Gunraj was born in Cummings Lodge, Guyana on September 8th, 1956, to Mary Agnes Gunraj and Ignatius Charles Gunraj. He was a younger brother to Susanna (late Vibert), Elizabeth (late Ray), and Jeff, and an older brother to Margaret, Richard (Peggy-Gail), and Ernest (Liza). He was an uncle and father figure to his nieces and nephews, Stephen (Vidya), Dawn (Sean), Joanna (Martin), Andrea, Antony, Nicholas, Kelby, and Caleb and great niece and nephews Melissa, Michael, and Marquise. He was also a boxing buddy and late-night play time pal to London, the cat.

At the age of 7, Rohan moved to Tottenham, London, England with his family. When he was 16 years
old, Rohan decided to join the work force and was a dedicated and loyal employee. At the age of 36,
Rohan moved to Canada with his family and secured a job very quickly. His work ethic of dedication and
loyalty continued, and his co-workers and employers always spoke very highly of him and had the
utmost respect for him. Rohan became such a skilled forklift truck driver, that his employers entered
him into competitions both in England and here in Canada.

Rohan enjoyed spending time with his family, hanging out in the pub with his mates, and placing bets at
the horse races. He became a master of pool, snooker, and darts, and won many trophies which he kept
to this day. He taught his nieces and nephews from a very young age how to bet with match sticks and
pennies and more recently, taught his great-nephew Michael, how to play pool, even letting Michael
beat him and giving him one of his trophies.

Rohan was kind, generous, and loving and everyone liked him instantly when they met him, both the
young and the old. He socialized with everyone and made them feel comfortable; any situation or
function was infused by his famous one-liner jokes. Helping others was Rohan’s trademark. He helped
people get a job, sometimes even taking them to work, doing yard work, and completing and overseeing
many home improvement jobs. Rohan’s handiwork can be seen at every house he spent time at.

Life will be so different now as Rohan had such a presence in the lives of his family and friends. He will
be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
