Roger Earl Blackman

October 22, 1942 - January 2, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Roger Earl Blackman at his residence on January 2, 2025. Born on October 22, 1942 in Barbados, Roger was a devoted brother, brother-in-law, uncle, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Roger was a loving brother to Joyce, Vinda, Anthony, Juneia, and the late Eugene, Cora, Myrtle, and Keith.  He will be fondly remembered as a brother-in-law to James, Shirley, Alvin, and Jasodra.  

Roger was blessed to have loving relationships with his nieces and nephews, Marcia, Judy (Consuelo), Gregory, Sandra, Lana,Tracy, Dave, Kim, Quinn, Alvin Jr., Andrea, Anthony Jr, Nicole, Amanda, Ramona, Marcella, Louisa, Laureen, Leroy, Steadman, Paula, Teresa, Jevon, and Greg.

He will be deeply missed by his loving daughters and sons-in-law: Joy Blackman-DeAdder (Michael DeAdder), Cheryl Blackman-Jackman (Ian Jackman), and Susannie Blackman. His love and legacy will live on through his grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin, and Phyllicia, and his six great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nashaun, Nayela, Tianna, Tiajha, and Andrew Jr.  

His love, guidance, and support touched everyone he met. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada in Roger's memory. A celebration of Roger's life will be held at Ward Funeral Home on January 18th at 1 p.m. with a visitation 1 hour prior to service.  A reception will follow the service. Friends and family are welcome to attend.  

Rest in peace, dear Roger. Your love and memory will never be forgotten.
