Served 8 years with the Alpine Corps.
Peacefully passed away on Tuesday November 9th, 2010 in his 96th year with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Lucia for 64 years. Loving father of Lusia and her husband Mario Biscardi and of Bruno and his wife Joan. Cherished nonno of David (Effy), Diana (John DiSanto), Jessica, Christopher, Lara, and Donna-Nicole. Great nonno of Daniella, Cassandra, Lorenzo, and Anthony. Missed by his sisters Onelia Sarra and Elsa Di Gregorio, and by his brothers Miro and Pietro. Predeceased by his brother Antonio and by his sister Lina Di Giacomo.

Rocco will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Rocco’s family wishes to extend a heart-felt thank you to all the staff of Humber River Regional Hospital – Church St. Site, especially those with the I.C.U. for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Catholic Church 1789 Lawrence Ave. W. on Saturday November 13th, 2010 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Thornhill.
