Robert "Bob" Whitman

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Whitman on January 22, 2025, at the age of 87 years.

Dearly beloved husband of Shirley for 61 years, beloved father of Anne (Doug), Janet and Heather (Kevin) and cherished grandfather of Michael, Christine (James), Scottie, Maddie and Mac. He is survived by his brother Charles Haffey, sister Donna (Joe) MacDonald, sister in law Pat Whitman and brother in law Gord Crews, and his many nieces and nephews in Ontario and Nova Scotia.

Bob was very proud of his family and loved having family gatherings with everyone.

Bob was devoted to his church his entire life and was the organist and choir leader at North Runnymede United Church for 42 years. In his younger years he was a Scout Master in Leitches Creek and always spoke highly of his Boy Scouts.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wards Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Toronto.

Funeral will be held on Friday January 31 2025 at 11:00 am at North Runnymede United Church, 33 Pritchard Ave, Toronto.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Easter Seals of Ontario.
