Robert Frederick Gledhill
April 19th, 1931 – May 5th, 2010

Passed into the presence of his Lord at the Etobicoke General Hospital. Bob was the beloved husband of Jan for 56 years; adoring father of Ann Cameron, Katherine Vanderberg and Ruth Thornton (Jack); loving grandfather of Alyson, Stephen, Heather, Jillian, Taryn (Derek), Blake, Danielle, Natalie, Alex and Brittany (deceased 1992); brother in law to Bob and Gale Gidden; and uncle to Mark and Ali Gidden, Kelly and Sean Gaffey, Stephen and Linda Gledhill, Pat Scallan, Shirley and Geordie Elms and Sue and Rob Lake. Known as the “Button Man” by his many friends and extended family, Bob was loved by them and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Rexdale Alliance Church, 2459 Islington Avenue on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of Flowers, donations to Youth Unlimited Light Patrol, World Vision or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
