Robert Gerald "Gerry" Prodrick

Robert Gerald (Gerry) Prodrick, 93, of Oakville, ON, died on February 14th 2014. Gerry, son of Robert and Muriel Prodrick (Slack), passed away peacefully on Feb 14th at his residence in the Post Inn Village. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Helen Prodrick (Smiley). Gerry received his education at Lisgar Collegiate and the University of Toronto where he graduated with Honors in Arts. After serving overseas in the Second World War, where he held the rank of Captain in the Canadian Army, he obtained his MA from the University of Toronto and MS from Columbia. Gerry was able to participate in his life-long love of books serving as a Professor at the School of Library and Information Science, University of Western Ontario until his retirement in 1988.
