Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Thursday October 3, 2013 in his 76th year. Loving husband and best friend of Irene (nee Lofts) for 55 years. Cherished Father of Marsha Paul (Ian); Dean (Kim). Will be sadly missed by grandchildren; Robert, Michael, Laura and Sarah. Survived by sisters Pat McLean, Donna Baxter (Ken),sisters-in-laws Elsie Bolton, Helen Symonds (Fred); predeceased by parents Edward and Jean, and by sister Joan. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Bob started his career with the BA Oil Company/Gulf Oil and retired from Petro-Canada after 37 years. He loved golfing and curling. The family would like to thank the staff at Ian Anderson House for their excellent care and compassion, also special thanks to Dr. Scott Berry, Dr. Debra Selby and Dr. Robert Nam and the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital; Dr. P. Warde at Princess Margaret Hospital and Dr. Robert Gabriel at OTMH.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Oakville Chapel” 109 Reynolds Street Oakville, on Thursday October 10, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Private family service will be held at a later date.
