It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Bob. He passed away quietly at his home on Tuesday evening surrounded by his family. Bob will be forever remembered as a loving and generous man; a true gentleman. A life well lived for 92 years and by his own admission, one lived with no regrets. A city boy, a farm boy, a loving husband, father and grandfather who always followed a quiet life with his feet near mother earth and his heart close to the love of his life, Beth. Bob enjoyed a successful career at Allstate Insurance until retiring in 1986. He was always committed to community activities, be it Scouting, member of hospital boards, coordinating and performing at the Wednesday afternoon Jamborees at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 208, Wiarton) and later in life, taking on the role of President of the Resident’s Council at the Westbury LTC home. Once Bob became involved in any activity, he did so with dedication, exemplary planning and determination. He is survived by his children Ruth Connor (Scott), Kim (Leslie) Ransom, Pam Ransom and Wendy (Doug) Wilburn. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Connor, Sean (Danielle) Connor and Loic (Valerie) Ransom. Proud great- grandfather to Victoria Connor. Predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Josephine Elizabeth (Beth) Ransom and sister, Thelma Grant. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by a wide circle of extended family and special friends. Bob always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. We have been blessed to have had Bob in our lives. He will remain in our hearts forever. Til we meet again. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
