Rita Pasut

November 2, 1965 - March 10, 2025

With God in need of another angel, Rita Pasut was called to heaven on March 10, 2025. She leaves her mother Ivanna, brother George, nieces and nephew: Alana (Chad), Daniel (Helen) and Marisa (Matthew). She was predeceased by her father Luciano and sister-in-law Laura.

Rita experienced life with a child-like innocence. Her gift to the world was greeting every day and everyone with a cheery smile and warm hug. She loved everyone without exception and brought joy to all occasions.

Throughout her life, her aunts, uncles, and many cousins cherished her enthusiasm. Her joyful spirit illuminated each family gathering and visit. In addition to being with family, one of Rita’s favourite activities was her participation in KEYS, where she was guided by thoughtful staff and met many wonderful friends. Together they learned life skills and explored Toronto. They will remember her as a ray of sunshine.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home Weston Chapel, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Avenue W.), Weston, on Thursday, March 13 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 14, at 10am at St. Jude’s Roman Catholic Church, 3265 Weston Road. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
