COCKBURN, Rita - Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Loving wife for 55 years to Fred. Proud mother of Gerry (Maria) and Michael (Susan). Adored grandmother to Laura, David, Norah, Paul, Philip and James, and loved sister to Mary Habel. Rita was a dedicated nurse working at Donwood Institute and Sunnybrook Hospital. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton Chapel", 52 Main Street South (Hwy. 10), Brampton on Tuesday, August 18th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 19th, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton.
