Rita Batthish:
Apr 19, 1945 – Feb 12, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Rita Batthish, a devoted Christian, mother, grandmother, and a pillar of our family. She joined the Lord on Feb 12, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Rita enjoyed spending her time crocheting, having fun with her grandchildren, watching Turkish soap operas, and playing bingo. She loved cooking and entertaining anyone who came to visit her. Rita was a proud Palestinian and a source of strength and love for all who knew her. Her irreplaceable presence in our lives will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her 3 children and their spouses (Maggie & Randy, Linda and Samia & Andrew), and 6 grandchildren (Natara, Antwan, Azalia, Zoey, Zane, and Joshua), who will always carry her memory in their hearts. Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and the love she shared will continue to inspire us all.
Visitation will be held on Friday Feb 16, 2024 from 2-4, 6-8pm at Ward Funeral Home - Woodbridge Chapel. Funeral service will be held at Wad Funeral Home on Saturday February 17, 2024 at 11am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Concord.
Family and friends are welcome to attend and pay their respects. As we want to celebrate her life, we encourage all guests to wear articles of royal blue or fuchsia pink clothing as they were her favourite colours – bright and bold as she was.
