SMYTH, Richard - It is with deepest sadness the family announces the passing of Richard Smyth on Monday, October 5, 2009 at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Jean for 54 years. Loving father of Stephen (Anne) and Mark (Neala). Cherished granda and great-granda of Carolyn, Richard, Stephanie, Matthew and Aiden. Dear brother of Norman (late Violet) and George (Glenny). Much loved by his sisters in Belfast; Sadie (late Davy), Lena (late Billy) and Betty (late Gordon). Predeceased by his brothers Billy (Lily), Jackie (late Jean), Roy (Agnes) and sister Jean (late Billy). A special thank you to Dr. Heather Ross, Stella and the entire heart transplant team at the Toronto General Hospital. Eternal thanks to the donor and family who on July 25, 1995 gave Richard an additional 14 years with his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthias Anglican Church, 1428 Royal York Road, on Friday, October 9, 2009 at 12 p.m. With one hour of gathering prior.
