As the sun was rising over Brampton on Wednesday, January 26th, on what would have been his son, Bryan's birthday, he left his pain and suffering behind. Left to mourn with grateful but broken hearts...his wife and soulmate, Sharon and their children: Shannon (Kenny), Lena (Nelson), and Sarah (Greg) and his brother, Norm (Mary). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Colleen (Nick), Aaron, Dylan, and Sawyer and his great grandchildren: Ryder-Richard and Bentley. Predeceased by his two son's Bryan (Erin) and Craigley (Tracy). Waiting on Rainbow Bridge will be his beloved pals: Casey, Jack, Hades and Koko.
Rick was a true "gem" and "top shelf" material. He was an honest man (sometimes brutally honest) and wore his heart on his sleeve. He adored his family and friends. He enjoyed classic cars, dancing, and his music LOUD. He loved to cook, clean, and take care of everyone. Anyone who knows him knows that, without invitation, Sunday was for pasta dinner and the door was always open (beer was in the fridge). To know Rick is to know what family feels like. He leaves behind a huge extended family that he cherished, dearly. Friends weren't just friends, they were family.
He will always be remembered: The Man. The Myth. The Legend.
