We wish to celebrate the life of our brother Richard (Rick) Patywich who passed away all too soon on May 12th 2016 at the age of 63 of cardiac arrest. He is predeceased by his parents Mike and Mary Patykewich and wife Eileen Hilferty. Brother to Gertrude (Domenic) Alfieri, Pat (Bill) Boyd, Alex, Raymond (Bruna), and Cheryl. Loving Uncle to nieces and nephews, Tony, Lisa (Jerome), Stephen (Gina), Jason, Sandra, Melynda (George), Christina, Michael (Raha) and Theresa along with many great nieces, nephews and Damien Daniels who he treated like a grandson. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends across Canada and the United States.
Rick spent most of his life in the customer service field, doing everything from managing and owing his own restaurant, 25 yrs in the concessions at Maple Leaf Gardens to his current job with the Entertainment industry. He also indulged in his love and passion for horses by working at Woodbine race track from an early age of 16. He got his wish by sharing ownership of 2 horses with his brother Alex.
Rick was a politician at heart, who loved to talk on any topic. He could talk your ear off at the drop of a hat. He was quick to laugh, smile and show his love for his family. He also loved to travel to warm and sunny destinations.
We wish to thank the medical team at Brampton Civic Hospital in the Cardiac Care Units for the wonderful care and kindness given to our Rick. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Heart and Stoke Foundation of Ontario.
