Reta V. Wheeler

WHEELER, Reta Venetta (nee ROSE) - Peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Herb Corbett (1948) and the late Norman Wheeler (1988). Loving mother of daughters Nancy (Russell) and Mary Beth (Jim) and loving step-mother of Helena, Eldon (Betty), Norma (Ron), Marilyn and Eric. Predeceased by Lovell and Wilford. Cherished grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great- grandmother. Survived by her sister Norma. Predeceased by her sisters Mildred, Hilda, Elma, Ilo, Leila and Norene and by her brother Harold. Reta will be greatly missed and remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Reta's life will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Hartman Cemetery, Mt. Albert at 2 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the C.N.I.B. or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated.
