SMITH, Reta C.

Peacefully at Maple Grove Care Community on September 9, 2016 at the age of 85. Dear sister of Trevor (Bev) of Stratford, Ruth of Hamilton. Predeceased by brothers Derwyn, Lloyd and sisters Joan, Bernice and Joyce O’Neill.

Reta was born in Hamilton. After receiving her degree from Trinity College she travelled to Ghana to teach for eight years. Upon her return she worked for the Peel District School Board until her retirement in 1991. During retirement she volunteered her time with Tullamore Nursing Home and with local churches. Reta touched many lives and will be greatly missed by many family and friends.

A Celebration of Reta’s life will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at Holy Family Anglican Church, 10446 Kennedy Road North, Brampton at 4 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.
