Restituta Tersigni

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Restituta Tersigni on January 22, 2025, at the age of 90. She is now reunited with her husband, Berardino and will be held dear in the hearts of her children Franca (Ed) and Jim (Nina); grandchildren Melissa (Joseph), Laura, Andrew, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Emilia and Leo. She was deeply loved by her siblings, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Restituta, affectionately known as Rita, immigrated to Canada in 1955 from Pescosolido, Lazio. She made a life with her husband and brought with her great humour, a strong work ethic, and a love for cooking, baking and gardening. She had a 25-year career as supervisor in a plastics plant and always looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her and her husband loved to host and attend parties with family and friends, and always gracefully made an appearance on the dance floor.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Fidelis Parish (33 Connie Street, Toronto). Entombment to follow at Glendale Cemetery (1810 Albion Rd., Etobicoke).

 In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Vaughan will be appreciated.
