SOVRAN, Renato
Peacefully and courageously on Saturday January 20, 2018 at the Humber River Hospital at the age of 84, with his loved ones by his side. Beloved husband of 60 years to Maria-Pia. Cherished father to Marinella Calaway (Steve) and to Peter (Sandra Livi). Ever caring nonno to Ryan, Brandon and Sarah. He will be deeply missed by family and friends in Canada, Texas and Italy. Renato will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour, passion for playing cards (Famee Fulane Club of Toronto) and for his brilliant craftsmanship as a bricklayer. We wish to thank the many caregivers over the years at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre and Humber River Hospital, and a special thank-you to his brother-in-law David for his endless support. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (N. of Lawrence Ave. W.), Toronto on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9pm. Funeral Mass Celebration at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2100 Jane St. Toronto, on Thursday January 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. Entombment to be held in Ramuscello, Italy. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation are welcome.
