BETTRIDGE, RAYMOND J.
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November, 2nd 2010 at the age of 71 after a valiant, but all too short, battle with cancer. Devoted husband of Sandra. Loving father of Jared (Samantha), Joel (Mette), Meredith (deceased) and Alicia (deceased). He will be missed by his brother John (Joan) of Bayfield ON, brothers-in-law Ted O'Reilly and Terry O'Reilly (deceased) and sister-in-law Wynn Cushman (Jerry). Predeceased by his parents Harold J. and Jennie Bettridge. Raymond will be remembered for his many roles, including: a dear husband and loving family man, a well respected university and college lecturer in finance and accounting, an investment analyst and executive on Bay Street. He will be missed by many, particularly the family and friends who provided so much support during his illness. The family would like to thank all of the nurses at Credit Valley Hospital in ICU, Ward 2C and Palliative Care, along with Dr. Besik and Dr. Kumar and all who took care of Raymond during his stay. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Friday, November 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 6th in St. Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church, 1171 Clarkson Road North, Mississauga at 12:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
