Quintin passed away into the arms of God on December 23, 2024. His wife Bertelle predeceased him in 2017. He was loved and will be missed by his family, son Gerard (Leah) Fernandes, daughter Karen (Martin) Sommer, and granddaughters Miranda, Sarah, Claire, and Grace. Originally from Bandra, Bombay, India, he had three brothers and two sisters; he was the last survivor of his immediate family. Quintin enjoyed playing badminton, field hockey, and running track in his youth. He worked for Aramco, an oil company, in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia for 33 years, and retired to Canada with his family. Quintin and Bertelle were devoted Catholics and were active in St. Mary’s Church in Brampton, where Quintin was involved with the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Canada, India, England, New Zealand and the USA.=

He most recently lived at Garrison Place in Fort Erie and his family extends their most sincere gratitude to all of the staff who made his life there comfortable.

Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home on Monday December 30, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Funeral mass will immediately follow at St. Mary's Roman Catholic church at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SickKids Foundation.
