Pierrette, born August 15, 1946, passed away with her beloved husband by her side on May 7,2010 at the age of 63, at Ian Anderson House, Oakville after a brave struggle with cancer. Pierrette leaves behind her beloved husband Jean-Guy Meunier, her parents Armand and Cécile Laporte of Granby, Quebec, her mother-in-law Béatrice Meunier and the late Alphonse Meunier also of Granby, Quebec. Cherished sister of Hélène (Daniel Gariépy), Nicole, Micheline (Robert LeBrun) and Francine, and predeceased by her sister Jeannine. Loved sister-in-law of André Meunier (Diane Vallières). She leaves many nieces and nephews, Nancy (Éric Bonnette), Dominic (Ann Maurice), Geneviève (Martin Roy), Marie-Claude (Christian Auclair), Véronique (Martin Dupuis), James and great nieces and nephews, Katrine, Gabrièla, Jérémy, Charles, Alexandre, Éloïse, Joëlle and Vicky. Pierrette will also be sadly missed by her students from Europe, Jenni Saarilhati, Mizuho Ishikawa, Thilo Ittner, and Porstina Sigurdardottir. She will be very sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, “Oakville Chapel” 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221) on Wednesday May, 12, 2010 from 7:00 till 9:00pm for a time of remembrance and fellowship. There will be a family service in Granby, Quebec. A Book of Memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhomes.com
