Pierina Venditti
Pierina D'Imperio Venditti was born June 22, 1930 in Mirabello, Italy. She grew up in a large family . Her parents were Cristina and Angelo D'Imperio. She was a very hard working young girl who helped her father in the fields and groves.
She met Antonio Venditti and married Oct. 16, 1948. They had a son Berardino, Ben Venditti born September 1949. Antonio emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1954 and Pierina and Ben followed in 1955. They lived a hard immigrant life in downtown Toronto, happy to have their own home and of course a big garden. Pierina loved her garden which was full of every vegetable imaginable. She was a great gardener and had the most beautiful and varied flower garden . Even the other day she commented how she had the best flowers on the street.
She loved to garden and she loved to cook for friends and family. She always wanted to feed us. She was the master of the sponge cake and homemade pizza. She loved to get dressed up and go out with her family. She was always well dressed complete with her matching jewellry.
Her family was her best treasure. She loved her son Berardino and wife Mary, her grandson Mark and Meighan and her great- grandchildren Jack, Duncan and Hazel. She loved it when they called her BIs-Nonna. She loved her grandson Paul and Jody and always liked making sauce for them. She always liked to cook for her brother Tony and called him every day. She will be missed by her sister, her nieces and nephews and many friends in particular Danny and Elenor Casale.
Mama we love you and we will miss you forever.
