It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Pierina Turone on November 12, 2022. She has joined her loving husband the late Frank whom she was married to for nearly 60 years. Cherished mother of Sam (Val), Suzanne (Cyndee), Frank (Fortuna), Patty (Nick) & Gina. Adored grandmother of Julia, Alessandra, Piera, Carmen, Elise, Felicia, Angela, Emily & Lianna. Proud Bis Nonna of 12. She will be lovingly remembered by her extended family.

Pierina enjoyed many hobbies, her macramé, knitting and crocheting were exquisite, her garden was always breathtaking, and her home-made meals and sweets were second to none. Her family has many of her handmade pieces which they will always treasure.

Her home in Woodbridge was the central location for those near and dear to gather. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her loved ones, family dinners were an especially important time to her. All who visited her home would be sent away with several packages full of homemade meals and sweets. Aside from dedicating herself to her family she enjoyed spending time with her friends attending various social clubs in her community.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, November 18, 2022, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge) on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Vaughan.

She lived each day to its fullest and represented all that is good in life. She will be forever loved and sorely missed.
