Pierina passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the age of 75. Loved and missed by her husband of nearly 54 years, Frank. Cherished and beloved mother of Mary-Lynn (Jim), Michael (Parisa), and Ernesto (Laura). Adoring Nanna of Madeo, Artemis, Aryana, Lia and Sofia. Sister to Nancy and Joe (Jan).

For over 30 years, Pierina was a kindergarten teacher who cared for her students. She centred her practice around holistic education and believed deeply in building meaningful relationships with the families of all her students.

Pierina savoured her relationships with family and friends. With her quick wit, authenticity, generosity and love, she built unbreakable bonds, engraved in all the hearts she touched. Spending time with family and friends, travelling throughout Italy, and getting lost in her sewing room are what brought her the most happiness.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Arturi Family at Ward Funeral Home, Weston chapel on Tuesday June 7th, 2022 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at All Saints Parish on Wednesday, June 8th, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Reception to be followed in the church hall. Friends are invited to offer condolences or make donations to Princess Margaret Hospital or Hospital for Sick Kids.
