Phyllis Antoinette Martino

Phyllis Antoinette Martino, Born February 21, 1969. Passed peacefully at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga on Wednesday January 15, 2025. Phyllis is survived by her mother Emilia Martino, sister Clarette Martino, brother Jack Martino, sister in-law Janice Martino, nephew Andrew Martino, niece Amanda Martino. Predeceased by her father Vince Martino, her brother Frank Martino, her nephew Vincent Martino. After attending Scarlet Heights High School in Etobicoke, Phyllis took a job at Canada Trust as a teller. Within a few years she was working at corporate assisting clients. She held this job for many years as she progressed into several other positions. Through her career she took assignments that helped her expand her experience leading to a short period in Calgary as a team leader. She was proud of her contributions that helped form culture and customer experience techniques that are now part of banking protocol. During her time at TD she developed many lasting relationships that were so important to her. Phyllis had a great love for her family. Adoring over her niece and nephew, (Andrew & Amanda) their whole lives, as well as her surrogate nephews Austin, Tyler and Jacob Azzopardi. She loved and cared for them as if they were her own children. Her mother could count on several daily phone calls to talk about everything. She always made time to reach out to her local family as well as cousins and close friends across the country. Her 3 cats, Chanel, Coco, and Cloe were fortunate to have such a caring person to look after them.Her many Facebook and texting friends will miss her funny and well-informed opinions and quick wit.In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Trillium Health Care in Phyllis's name. The staff and Dr's in the Palliative Care in particular took such great care of her in her last moments.
