Peter (Panagiotis) Delkos
Peter passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at the age of 87 after a long illness. He was predeceased by Kathleen (his wife of 30 years). Father of Zoe, Steve and Bill. Step-father of Debbie Crouch, Mike Lennon, Brian Lennon (deceased). Poppa to Shawn, Maeghan and Jordan. Father-in-law to Mike Crouch. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Peter came to Canada from Greece in 1963 and quickly embraced life in Canada. He became great 5 pin bowler and loved his Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. In recent years, game-days were the highlights of his week.
Peter and Kathleen loved children and spent most of their years together caring for children through the Catholic Children’s Aid Society.
Peter loved life. His poor health in recent years deprived him of the ability to be out and about but he still had a twinkle in his eye and a sneaky smile that gave away his jokes.
Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Road (north of Lawrence Ave) Weston, on Friday from 12-1 P.M.
A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. .
Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
