Paul Neal Taylor, born August 12, 1923 passed in peace August 19th in Brampton, Ontario. Loving husband to the late Isobel (nee Strong) 2007, where they resided in Port Credit for some 55 years. Amazing father to Jeff Taylor (Diane) of Kawartha Lakes, Ann McAlpine (Jamie) of Shelburne, Scott Taylor of Oakville. Esteemed companion to Alvina Smith of Brampton and Father–in-law to Susan Taylor (Garry Kirkpatrick) of Glen Williams.
Doting Grand-dad to Caralyn and Randall Roth of Stouville, Jennifer and James Henderson of Oakville, Paula and Jamie Mitchell of Burlington, Dianna Jane McAlpine of Orangeville, Laura McAlpine of Toronto, and by love, Jennifer and Evan Brown and Kimberley Dean of Victoria, B.C.
Great Grandkids, Ben and Kayle Roth, Joshua and Taylor Ann Henderson, Ayden Mitchell, Jackson and Emily Brown.
Born in Surrey England, Paul ascended through school ranks and technical programs. Honing his skills training he was ensconced in the Home Guard Service during WWII where he was an important cog of man y and was instrumental in the drafting and design of tooling and instrumentation for Ally aircraft.
Paul was one of the founding members of The Electrical Designers Association of Great Britain in 1946, for which he won commendation in 2006. He immigrated to Canada in 1947, 10 bucks in his pocket and a promise of a job. He would ascend through managerial ranks, ultimately retiring as Vice-President of Federal Pioneer Electric in 1987. Success in commerce notwithstanding, marrying his wife of 57 years, building a comfortable home and raising three children. His greater claims in life include his many years committed to Church and Charity, not limited to but including several terms as the Clerk of Session, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Port Credit and 20 years a volunteer for the Red Cross.
A small private family gathering in Paul’s honour shall take place on Thursday August 25th . Donations will be graciously accepted in his memory by the William Osler Brampton Civic Hospital.
