It is with sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Clarke, beloved husband, father and grandfather. He passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Health Centre at the age of 85, on December 22, 2024.

Born in Toronto Ontario, Paul was the son of Girvin and Hazel (nee Simpson). He grew up in Toronto and Nashville and attended what is now Toronto Metropolitan University for engineering, specializing in electronics. He worked as a technician and a customer service representative retiring after 29 years with Allied Signal Aerospace. He was known for his eye for detail and his willingness to help.

He will be remembered for his passion for racing having spent many decades in the amateur sports car racing community in Ontario and upstate New York. Paul was past president of the MG car club, Canadian Race Communications Association and the British Automobile Racing Club.

When at home Paul enjoyed woodworking and travelling with Ruby in their 5th-Wheel affectionately referred to as the “Whitehouse 2”

Paul Clarke is survived by his wife Ruby (nee Reynolds), brother Wayne, children Darryl (Tina) and Brad (Zac Grant), grandchildren Taylor, Ayden, Alyx and Kuiper. He was preceded in death by younger brothers Bruce and Steve.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, details to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choosing.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to doctors, nurses, caregivers, family, and friends for their compassion and support during this time.

He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
