Pam passed away peacefully in her sleep early morning on August 27. Pam was born in Devon, England, and married Vivian Grater in 1943, during WW II. Moving to Montreal, Canada in 1952 with three young children, Pam and Viv quickly embraced the Canadian way of life; camping, swimming, boating, tennis and golf in the summers, and learning to skate and ski in the winters. Two more children came along after the move to Canada. After Viv retired, they spent winters enjoying their home in Indianwood, Florida, where they were active members of the golf community. Summers were spent in Canada, enjoying their boat and golf. Pam was always active and vivacious, enjoying many activities. Pre-deceased by her husband, Viv, she leaves her 5 children: Jane, Vaughan (Alice), Theresa, Wendy (Fred) and Robin (Paula), as well as 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter. Thanks to the caring staff of Chartwell Scarlett Heights and West Park Long Term Care who helped her enjoy her final years. Pam will be missed as matriarch of our family.
A small celebration of life is planned, details to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
